SVT fireplace mouldings are made of cast iron that has proved to be the best material for fireplaces over the years. Cast iron withstands high temperatures and does not deform due to big temperature differences. In order to prolong the usability of the grate, please make sure that you empty the ashbin as soon as it is half-full! If there is no constant air-flow through the grate it will deform and brake.
